What's up with the Pastor Ralph Boersma family?

" Have you ever wondered why so many people love watching reality TV? Hmmm... is it to feel good about themselves? :-) When you think about it... I mean, think about it... who's more pathetic: those who do the reality shows and make money or those who watch the reality shows... maybe because they don't really have a life? :-) "

Now... let's give some context to this. Ralph Boersma is a GARBC (General Association of Regular Baptist Churches) pastor/missionary. He was married for 55 years to his wife Karen, and they had seven children, one of whom died soon after birth.

Now... if you look at the surface... you would think that Ralph & Karen were very successful in raising their children. All of them continue to attend church to this day and are exceptionally successful in business/life, based on most people's standards.
So... nothing interesting to see here... OR... is there?

What's interesting about families is... not so much what they all want you to see but what they don't want you to see. Their six living children are Vern, Mark, Kerry, Dan, Ken, and Kim. You would think that good, solid Christian families would all be getting along and doing life together... but... well... hmmm...
