When you listened / watch the above podcast did you feel it may have been counterproductive or even discouraging? Did you feel like, "this is not the way I was raised"?
If you thought these things, that's great.
See ... how we THINK, governs WHAT we DO and HOW we DO WHAT we DO. WHAT we DO, HOW we DO what we DO, governs what we GET In Life.
As we grow up and get older, we get to choose how we think. If we learn how to take OWNERSHIP we don't fall into being a victim. If we're not liking the results in our life ... then we probably need to seek to change the way we think.
If we don't learn to do that, then we will fall into being a victim where we not only don't get what we want in life, but also have no ability to change the outcome of our life. When we don't feel we can change anything in our lives and we don't like what we have in life ... that leads to a lot of mental health issues that no amount of medication will be able to fix.
After the above podcast were you disappointed & discouraged?
It seems like those who have the most success in life have learned that disappointment or discouragement are a huge part of life and the larger our goals, the more we want from life the more disappointed or discouraged we'll be.
It seems that the most successful individuals have learned that when they work like crazy and things don't work out well ... they still win or feel good because they see that they've given it their best shot. They learn how to get up, dust themselves off and go after it again ... and again ... and again until they win or die trying. :-) Again, we're not saying this is the right way for everyone to think. What we are saying is it can seem in that in life we can work twice as hard as those around us, we can fail and it can seem like they can win ... but we can still be happier in failure than others are in success? In a way, that doesn't seem to make sense, but it's crazy to us how great it seems to have worked for those who see the greatest success in life. It's also interesting that it seems that those who have a similar type of mindset / way of thinking do seem to be happier, have better mental health and in the long-term in life, see far greater overall success in life.
Do you feel there are barriers to the learning process that might make it difficult for less experienced individuals to pick things up immediately?
Right! In school those who struggled the most, often succeed the most. Why is that? Is it because they learn to WORK harder than others who have an easier time with school in order to build ways of thinking in their minds which may serve them better than even a college degree?
Do not just accept what is being shared above, try / test it out and see what you think.
If your life is going great, if you are succeeding in all the ways you desire success and you have great mental health, then for sure keep up the good work. Ruminate on it, maybe test out some of the ways of thinking. We think you'll discover, as we have, that things we might not think will help, actually do help a lot more than we could ever imagine.
