Solution?
Think about it... Do you feel most fulfilled when you achieve something or when you are working hard to achieve something? When our life vision is bigger than death, we get over things, heal quickly, and have purpose, drive, and energy even when we don't.
We likely won't become overconfident with a huge life vision and will feel fulfillment when we are in pursuit of our vision, even if it seems like we'll never achieve it.
When Mark was 30 years old, he told his mom, "It's actually not about the destination, Mom, the hitting of one's goals; it's about learning to enjoy the journey, especially when we have a large life vision."

WARNING: This may be a hard one, especially if you're a wife / mother. What's interesting about people and the groups they are a part of? People want to have all the benefits of the group but none of the downsides. For example, often when you say anything that a woman feels is derogatory about women, it seems that tons of women will take offense ... rather than women saying ... "Where might that be true in my life?
Another example is often hate to be stereotyped ... but those same women will stereotype men and then rationalize it.

Elaine is very different as a woman than most women. Rather than take offense at what was being said she internalized it and asked herself ... "Where am I doing this to my husband and sons?" Elaine's husband and sons are very fortunate men to have a woman in their lives who is looking to improve ... to grow, to get better rather than to think her purpose in life is to teach men all that they are doing wrong.

It's interesting how it seems like the number of things most people are after today is ... attention.

It's probably fair to say that most people who have podcasts would like to have a lot of followers ... Ben ... maybe not so much?
Ben is discovering that as friends, family, co-workers discover his podcast he then has another whole level of pressure on him. It's not good, not bad, but definitely different.
