Then the session shifts into something Mark has been building for decades — the 25-Year Value Transfer System. Designed when his own children were young and he saw the pattern playing out across generations: first generation on fire, second educated but cooler, third fading, fourth entitled and gone. He spent three years identifying values, categorized them into five areas — values, skills, work ethic, leadership, and results — and built a phase-by-phase transfer system from birth to adulthood, weighted differently at each stage of a child's development. It may not have worked perfectly with his own kids. But what he is noticing now is that the adults around him — in business, in sales, in life — are missing the values that system was designed to build. And the question sitting underneath all of it is the hardest one in leadership: when an adult shows up without the foundation they were never given, what do you do?
