One of the things that is hardest about learning marketing is that to really understand marketing, one needs to really understand ... in many ways, the foundation for all 30 boxes in The 5/30 Grid.

Every business owner should really understand the foundation of marketing. This podcast covers a LOT and you'll get a lot more from this podcast ... IF ... you not only INTERNALIZE it ... but you must DO ... TAKE ACTION and work ... work some more and work even some more.

Mark's five years in college, earning three business degrees, gave him, at a young age, a strong foundation to build on. But it wasn't enough. 
The hundreds of books that Mark has read gave him a foundation that helped him write 16+ books and 100+ white papers.

His international speaking and writing coach, Linda Brakeall, shared with Mark, when he was 29 years old ... "Mark, you don't write a book to bestow your knowledge and wisdom on others. You write a book to gain deep knowledge and wisdom on a topic."

Time block 10 minutes or so every day to go through one video a day. Watch it ... internalize it and then manage up / out to others. Watching the training podcasts is one thing. Internalizing what they are saying and actually DO something is a whole different level of understanding and then mastering it ... requires a whole different level of discipline.

Mark shares two of the testimony sites that he and Jonathan built out.   

  • 1st: Based on Personality ~ 28 testimonies designed specifically to move people through 7 Steps to the sales cycle ... based on their personality.  
  • 2nd: Based On Biggest Challenge ~ These are testimonies based on Biggest Challenge people often have. When we connect our products / services to someone's biggest challenge / love help ... AND / OR ... any of the other information from the 30 mss / X-Ray.

OK ... two major things in sales:

A. Sale Closing Ratio ~ What % of those leads that come in ... convert?
  • The average in most industries is 10%. 1 in 10 prospects will convert. That means that we are NOT getting paid for 90% of the work we do.
  • Referrals can be as high as 70% or even more.
  • GTing IT and "Prospect Rescue" will help to increase our sales closing ratio which can increase our profits by 100%, 200% and even more.
B. Sale Cycle ~ This is the time it takes from getting the lead to closing the lead.
  • The shorter the sales cycle the greater your profits are ... and even more than that ...
  • Your sales people will see far greater success and there will be less burn out.
  • A lot of the same strategies / tools and systems you put in place to improve your sales closing ratio will also improve your sales cycle as well ... if you are intentional and work closely with your ActionVISION to help you do that.

It's pretty interesting, isn't it ... how many courses Mark has taught. Think about what time of time / energy Mark must have invested into acquiring this knowledge. What's most interesting is that most everything that Mark teaches isn't coming from something someone else taught him. It's coming from ... his blood, sweat and tears.

When we appreciate the WORK, the SACRIFICE and the RISKS that others, who have gone before us have taken ... we are able to be in flow with them. If we don't appreciate the costs ... the price others have paid ... and we won't know how to COLABERATE ... and we'll COMPLETE ... and honestly ... we'll get our butts kicks and we'll never be / stay in flow.

Hmmm ... we wonder why more people don't listen to him and take what he says to heart?
