Honestly, what is really needed to help students to get the education to have the freedom to pursue what they were created to be? Let's have an honest conversation about the real issues? There are many opinions and perspectives. Is it possible that the solutions are a lot easier than we think they are?
1-1: Could it be ... "Taking Ownership?"
What if everyone involved in the education of our children were to take ownership?
Students
There are a larger percentage of students that fail in certain schools without question. But, if there's one student who succeeds in a school, can we study that student's "way of thinking" and clone that way of thinking into others through every school.
Parents ~ Are we delegating the education of our children or are we making sure that those who are teaching our children that they are giving our children every opportunity to succeed?
Are we buying into what is being told to us or are we taking ownership and teaching our children to do the same? Do we allow those leading us to prevent what is needed to give parents and students the freedom in school choice? If those who are teaching our children and those who are in leadership are confident, it would seem that they would welcome competition, the freedom of choice, rather than continuing to enslave our children. We have a lot more power. We are the customers. Do those in education serve us and our children or do we serve those we pay?

1-2: Local Leadership
When there is a success in our school do we take ownership for that? When there are failures do we take ownership for those? Would we support allowing the teachers to do a few simple things to help the students better understand how amazing they are?
National Leadership
Are we helping or hurting the teachers and students? How confident are we in how strong our leadership / help is? Do confident leaders embrace competition or try to stifle competition? Do we contribute to the failure of children? Are our children / grandchildren in the schools that we prevent competition from happening.
Politicians ~ Do we have courage? Would we allow businesses to have a monopoly? Why not?

It's not fair to those who elected us? So ... why don't we not allow competition in education? Sure ... we can do a lot of double talk ... and try to confuse the parents and students and it seems like it works ... or does it? If we don't figure out how to change things ... we will destroy our nation a little more with each generation.
Businesses ~ Are employees we hire trained well, know how to communicate and work hard? If not, why not? What are we doing to help the parents and the students to create a mindset of success. We have to compete each and every day and the strong businesses survive ... and the weak ... die. We have to serve our clients each and every day or they dump us and go for the competition. Why wouldn't we expect that same level of excellence in our education system?
